The entire VFP code base is 32-bit, not 64-bit. Most of the VFP engine would have to be re-written or changed significantly to become 64-bit and possibly be hindered by less performance and less stability. Beyond that, the amount of time, effort, and cost is way beyond what we are willing to do for that feature - beyond the technical issues. When solutions need a database beyond 2GB, full security and replication, 64-bit, etc., it will be recommended that SQL Server is used with VFP (SQL Server 2005 supports 64-bit).
