DDE stands for Dynamic Data Exchange, it is the precursor technology to OLE. It is the very old way of doing things. There is a good chapter in Visual FoxPro 3 Unleashed on DDE (I know it's goood cuz' I wrote it) ISBN: 0-672-30758-8 publisher is Sams and the authors are Bazian, Booth, Long, and Norman.
