I'm having a problem getting Word to use a free table in VFP 5 as a data source for mail merge. I note the selection window in Word give two ultimate choices: - MS FoxPro File or DBase file. NO Visual FoxPro.

Amazingly, in Word after selecting the file and choosing MS FoxPro, I get an error message in German!!! Using my dictionary, it appears to be telling me a file can't be found, but I cannot figure out what file, nor why I don't have it.

I downloaded the Mail Merge utility I found here in the UT, and it results in the same error message. However, the Mail Merge Wizard works fine. This isn't really a viable option for me, as AFAIK, the Wizards aren't available in compiled exe's, and furthermore, the client will need to be working in Word, not my app when creating documents.

Any ideas?
