Hey, thanks very much for the 2 posts, above and beyond the call of duty. I'm not sure the form is working as expected because when I click the "save" button, only one record is created in the cursor, pertaining to the currently highlighted picture in the listbox. Beats me at the moment but I need look at it more closely. Anyway, I "get the picture" and may do some combination of the 2 ideas, i.e. using the GetPict() func. too.
Main trouble is though, I've just realised: MapInfo also uses symbols in a font file to label the objects on a map, and ships with several of these specialised characters. I can't yet figure how I'm going to get these. Probably using GetFont(), I guess.
