I couldn't find a good forum or category for this.
I thought I needed a 7-segment font and some one gave me this link in a different thread:

It turns out that I need both a 7-segment font and a 9-segment font. Segments on physical display (read harware) are layed out similar to this:

How hard is it to create my own font? Where do I start in my quest for my own font?
