I don't know this for a fact, but I heard that they were not *real* DLL's. Can you call these dll's from any language, like for instance C++? Do you need the runtime engine loaded?
IMHO, if they made executables "real" meaning no runtime engine and were able to compile independant DLL's, VFP would be hard to beat (except for VC++).
