>An interesting list, but is this listing ACTUAL languages BEING programmed in today or something else?
>I ask because it amazes me to see C and C++ at #1 and #4 respectively. This seems to go against everything I've ever heard about C/C++.

The first paragraph explains how the listing was obtained: ...The ratings are based on the world-wide availability of skilled engineers, courses and third party vendors. ... search engines...

And yes, I find much of this surprising myself. For example, VB.NET only slightly above VFP (0.403% vs. 0.376%).

And, old-fashioned COBOL on the rise???
