Yes, Kroner=crowns. Also some other countries have a currency whose name comes from crown, like the czech Korona (or was it corona?). And no, Norway is not a EU member, as one of a few european countries. But even though Denmark and Sweden are members of EU, they still use their old currency. The same goes for Great Britain.
