She's spelled "season finale", which doesn't quite resemble what I hear, which is probably OK in English.

>Hey, you got 4 CSI's?

OK then three. I'm not exactly keeping tabs on them.

>>I have only once heard a TV voice pronounce "Finnahly", and never, for all these six years here, have I heard anything even close to "finale" (finn-uh-leh).

Seems in line with the funny pronunciation of Italian toponyms in English - Torino becomes "tewreen", Roma becomes "roam", Genova become "jennooah", Napoli becames "naypls", Padova - "padooah", Venezia - "vennis", Sicilia - "sissy lee"...

BTW, how is "coliseum" pronounced? Not "colosseum", that's British (and Latin). Coliseum. I've asked this before, but nobody answered. Which is it:

1) coal-eyes-e-um
2) colly-see-um
3) coll-ease-e-um
4) something I couldn't imagine
