Try using a "one-to-many Form wizard".
Go to the help menu and select "Visual Foxpro Help Topics"
Then enter "Form Wizard" inside either the index tab or the find tab.
For a parent-child table you will want to use a one-to-many form wizard.
This wizard will also "generate" code for you. Understanding the code will take some hard work though ; altering the functionality of this custom made form will also take some careful planning.
The guts of the code is in the class library called wizstyle.vcx and the class called "txtbtns" contains alot of the forms code/functionality.
