Uh, yes the .NET front end is very "robust" and it is VERY simple to create a .NET app, just as easy as a VFP app. VFP is a lot better than .NET in certain areas, especially with its cursor engine. But to say .NET apps are hard to create is just not true.
Now based on the original statement of, VFP needs .NET,well no it doesnt....but if it wants to keep alive it has to "work with" .NET, and it does. I do a lot of development in both platforms. For the web I use .NET, for an app that I need to build a very nice UI with I, key word "I" prefer .NET. I think its interfaces are much cleaner. But if I need to analyze a ton of data from numerous sources then I go with VFP, its quicker. Though I do recommed using the VFP toolkit for .NET, its great, and free!!!
