>Why? We are mostly Foxpro, but UT is more than that now.
The Universal Thread has done several coverages for various events and all that is done mostly with volunteered work from the reporters which is a service we offer to the community. The type of report we do is usually long and requires a lot of work. Most of the times, reporters work until 2am to finish all that when other attendees are relaxing at the bar or a place like that networking about Visual FoxPro and related topics. So, in order for me to agree to set it up, I need some recognition of the coverage, punctionality from the vendor (conference owner) and some related items that is pretty much standart for all the events we are covering. If I don't have that or if I have the feeling that I don't have minimum help, I'll simply won't consider it. Such a service offered to the community should be clean and simple. Usually, I am able to find reporters, make the agreement, build the Web site and FTP infrastructure, send the guidelines to the reporters, obtain confirmation from the related parties and other related items within a few hours at most within a few days. So, if it takes weeks and months to achieve all that, it would simply be a total waste of time for all the parties involved.
Should you see an annual event (that we used to cover) which was not covered on a specific year, it wouldn't necessarily mean that there was a failed in what I mentioned. It could be that we were unable to find reporters or such related topics.
