>I agree with you that it would be nice, but it's not going to happen... It's that simple. VFP is not considered an OS component and the Windows OS people are still complaining about hte fact that VB at some point was part of the OS (still is but it's VB5).

I just looked the windows update history and seems that there are componetes updated by the Windows updater that are not OS components, or maybe I'm hallucinating? There is even a button for "Select from optional and high-priority updates for Windows and other programs". What might be criteria for those other programs?
