"feature" would be ok if documented, or perhaps as somthing built into the table builder a popup warning if you have just typed an unsafe word as a field name. The problem was that everything worked perfectly when setup with local views, whem I moved it to a remote view I got the odbc syntax error. Therefore I spent the time looking at possible issues with the drivers, connection, and remote view rather than the base table.
I should note the table originaly had value as a field name as I got the primary key code from fox wiki, I cant remember the article but I basically followed it to the letter to get it working and then built it into my system, unfortunatly the key table in the article used value as a field name, so anyone that may have also taken a pk routine from there, beware.
