I stayed there for a week in 1990. It was absolutely beautiful. Visited the hot springs and the water fall. It was really the only nice 'hotel' in El Valle at that time. But then alot of places had closed down at the time and not opened back up yet. Seemed rustic to me. The owner was a retired American (or maybe German?) that had owned it for somtetime by then. He may have sold it to someone else by now. The El Valle area was a pleasant place to visit. Rather cold in the mornings to not have hot water though! :o)
>>is there still a hotel (well a house with many rooms really) owned by an American in El Valle?

>I know of one that was purchased by an American not too long ago, but I don't know from whom. Do you remember any details?
