I've also wondered why COBOL, with its data centric behavior, could be ported to .NET and VFP, with its data centric behavior, "couldn't".

I've also wondered why EVERY PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE known to man has been ported to .NET EXCEPT VFP.

When I see interpreted languages such as Forth, Lisp, Jscript (Javascript) being ported to .NET or data centric languages like COBOL or PHP (MySQL), I have to scratch my head and wonder ...
