Hi Claude,

I have an opportunity to see if the new Win2K3 hosting offered by one of my ISP's will work with AVFP. They will register dll's; I can set directories, permissions. Assuming that my directions to them for installing the VFP MTDLL runtime works <s>, the next step will be installing an AVFP asp.net application. Running IS is not an option, of course; but the steps basically consist of creating directories, setting rights, and registering the application dll, correct? What would be helpful would be a list of these things, to try to whittle down the number of unknowns.

thanks,

Hank Fay

PS: because of the isolation capabilities of Win2K3, combined with MS's push to have ISPs offer Windows hosting, we may have lots of these opportunities available. If it can work with VFP web frameworks, including AVFP, this could be a big boost for VFP web work. Getting a client to spring for a $40/month web site to run their VFP-based web site would be a no-brainer, especially when SQL Server is included.
