>>I support a huge legacy app which was originally written in FoxPro for DOS, and has been evolved. Extensive sections of this application still use @ SAY and @ GET in DEFINE WINDOWS. We see a problem where in several places when some other window is opened over a data entry window with an active read, the color of the read window will switch to the windows form color and all of the text written with @ SAY's will disappear. The GET's are still visible, and the form functions properly other than the change in color and the dissappearance of the prompts.

>>I understand that @ GET and @ SAY are outdated, but as much as I would love to have the whole app rewritten using forms, that is not an option for our client. Any suggestions?

We've already done this. It doesn't fix the problem.
