I agree with the advice about PACKing the table to free up any wasted space.
Also use SYS(2012) to check your table's memo blocksize. You can save quite a lot of space by setting an appropriate blocksize for the content of your memo fields.
But you'd be well advised to review your use of dbfs. 2Gb of data carries a substantial value. How are you backing it up? Perhaps the time has come to consider mySQL or MSDE to make this volume of data safer.

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
