Hi Jim,

The usual suspect is an anti-virus software product running at either/both ends.

If you can disable it for testing you should know pretty quick if that is it.

If that turns out to be it, then configuring the A/V software to ignore the file types used by VFP should make the problem go away.

I wonder if I'm not doing the buffering in the most efficient way. I thought I'd ask for best practice guidelines on table/row buffering.
