I have some DBF files that were created by the borland database engine (BDE) that I need to get access to in VFP 6. I think they might be dbase 4 type of files because they have dbf, dbt and mdx files but I'm not sure about that. I read that "set compatible to db4" should work in vfp but I tried it in VFP6 and VFP8 and it both says "not a table". How do I get access to these from VFP - hopefully wanting to convert them to foxpro DBF files of some type?
