It appears that textbox input (input when a textbox has focus) is always done in a left justified data entry mode and that the right alignment only occurs when a textbox loses focus. In other words it appears that right alignment is only for display purposes.

Is this correct or is there a simple way for users to do data entry in a right aligned data entry mode? I've seen numeric textbox controls that provide this capability at the expense of some complicated plumbing.
