So you are saying that I don't need a special video card? (I was confused by James' message indicating that I do need a video card with two monitors).

Still there is something I can't visualize. When you say "monitor 2 shall be left, right, above or below monitor 1", I don't understand it. Do the monitors have to be physically placed close to each other and the screen "virtually" spreads over the two?

>All notebooks have a monitor connector. Plug in a monitor, and check the Display properties if it shows you a dual monitor option. Dual monitors means that the monitors show different things, normally the notebook display behaves normally, and the second monitor will be like an extension to monitor 1. Usually you can decidide whether monitor 2 shall be left, right, above or below monitor 1.
