Shows you how much I follow dBASE or Borland <bg>

I flirted with CA/dbFast in '94 and came to the conclusion that it was 'dBASE III+ for Windows'.

To amplify my original statement, I hope Mr. Berst means dBASE as a tool and not xBASE as a language -else- it's a doggone ignorant statement. Thats like saying BASIC is dead and ignoring VB. I happen to love xBASE as the glue to hold development projects together and no-one has ever been able to qualify to my satisfaction any inherent benefit to BASIC vs. xBASE language bases.

>Well Inprise(Borland) doesn't own Paradox any more they sold it to Corel (I think) over a year ago. I pretty much doubt Mr. Berst has ever written a line of Xbase code much less even started VFP or VDb.

>>Thats a pretty nasty article, David, but he specifically mentions dBASE and not xBASE....maybe he's sniping at Borland?

>>As to Access "tying up the market"...that's pretty lame. In my recent experience, Access seems to be losing developers who get caught up in little Access projects that become big nightmares.
