One last thought about Delphi. The way data is accessed is not that far away from DotNet. They just have an easier way to set up the data environment. BTW I was one of the first buyers of Kylix....

Take a close look at Python. Python is used by 'google' and 'Amazon'. It not bad but still not up to VFP at least when it comes to data.
