As I understand it blob fields would be capable of holding various executable files for instance in an install.dbf file. You then could run it in a custom setup program?

Is there a command to manipulate the blob field in VFP 9 i.e. insert into blobtable.blobfield &filename. And then to run the executable I would have to copy it to the drive or can you actually run an executable without copying and then deleting when the executable is finished.
