so far I have been using MM with the CR version that comes with VS NET and it works fine.

But be aware of the licensing policy of CR: if you plan to provide your end customers with a report designer to allow them changing existing or creating their own reports, they need to have a CR license themselves - as far as I understand the CR licensing policy, correct me if I am wrong.

You might also look at List&Lable (http://www.combit.net/us/) which allows the royalty free inclusion of a end-user report designer.
