To do this "properly", you should use the Installshield Express that ships with VFP or another installer program. It will handle registration for you.
>I am about to install a simple ASP/VFP COM application on a client's machine which is remote from the development machine. I've checked articles on the West-Wind and FoxWiki sites but I cannot find any guide as to exactly what files are required for a remote COM installation. Anyway, from what I can gather I have installed the following files into the same folder (\VFPCOM)...
>
>ComTest.dll MTDLL file
>ComTest.tlb COM type library
>ComTest.vbr Visual Basic runtime
>VFP8t.dll Visual Foxpro COM runtime
>VFP8renu.dll Visual Foxpro english language support file
>Msvcr70.dll C++ library
>GDIPlus.dll graphics support library
>
>Are all of the above files required? As the COM interface does not have a graphical interface, is GDIPlus.dll required?
>
>I understand that COMTest.dll must be registered on the webserver, but do any other files have to be explicity registered?
