Thank you Jess. You have just proved my point. VFP is not the panacea for application development. It is the key and glue for our applications but we can and do use other products via COM (activex is part of com)and other technologies to make our apps fully functional beyond what native VFP supports.

The question with security in the DBC is one part of this. I would like to see something rudimentary in the DBC but if I need real security, I use SQL server or something like it.
