hello John

after you posted the original msg, i couln't resist and put some time into this :-). this is realy need, got it working too in firefox (based on the explanation in your link). doesn't work with IE however.

i think it has to do with how the browser needs to read the "attached" xml file - hence the plugins you must install in firefox for this to work.

the functionality is realy need - this opens all kind of doors wide. the only concern i have: i wouldn't do this with any sensitive data - at least not 'directly' - you never know what google saves, and puts into its searchable databases.
