Could a service like www.tinyurl.com be used? More specifically, how about a service like www.url123.com? Url123's free Personal account allows you to create a branded subdomain so you could still "Sweet Potato" brand your RSS link.

Another advantage (IMO) would be that you would end up with a nicer looking RSS link than your current GUID based URL.
