>>Actually the Traction Avant was a fine looking car indeed (not so their 2CV though <g>).

>Did you know that "2CV" stands for "Deux chevaux" or "2 horse-power"?
The famous "Umbrella with four wheels", one of the few cars that look equally nice after a fender bender. That thing had personality, and it's a pity that Citroën didn't feel obliged to rebuild it a la Beetle and Mini.
And the new Beetle isn't so new - I've seen pictures of it in 1994.
>>As for the PT Cruiser. I always thought it looks like a hearse. Ugly if you ask me. But to each his own.
My wife likes the design of the Cruiser. She thinks it looks really cute - a good mix of the rounded shapes of the forties and the today's round shapes.
>Well mine's a cranberry-red hearse then! I actully like the look of hearses. Nearly bought a Daimler hearse with a RR engine in my youth.
There's a nice quote from one of our cult movies - "The marathon runners run the lap of honor" (dunno how and whether it was actually translated)... about a five generation all-male family having a funeral service:
(after measuring, the guy says:)
- the deceased was very long
- he was tall, not long!
- when one is alive, he is tall; when he dies, he is long.
Now why do I mention this? There are a couple of limo services in the neighborhood, and their black limos really remind me of it.
