>>>I'm getting 'feature not available' when running an exe that uses the build command. I'm making an automated source manager, and wanted to launch builds for our main application from my manager. I've tried putting the manager in different directories with no luck. Is this just plain against the rules?

>Thanks for the quick reply. If you're sure about that, I must have a syntax error then. We routinely build exe's from inside Fox2.6. This situation required me to build an application manager that had buttons to copy local files to the server and then another button did: build exe test.exe from test.pjx. when I hit that button, I got 'feature not available'. I put the manager program in my FPW26 directory, thinking that it needed to see the DK, but it didn't make any difference. I've never had the occasion to incorporate this command into a program before. I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't working on an impossible task.
>thanks.
You do have to be in the development environment (not from within a compiled running exe). If you're using: BUILD EXE myexe.exe FROM myexe.pjx, it should work fine.
