I've seen this scheme before. Express your low opinion about your oponent, doubt and denigrate his sources, and find any procedural mosquito that you can make an elephant of. Talk about the elephant. Make sure nobody remembers what your oponent actually said.

I'm seeing that at all levels. Imagine, GWB had an interview with a British magazine, and the reporter had the guts to repeat the question when he didn't get the answer! Can't happen here.
