hello Brian

i also had looked into writing my own 'jukebox' in vfp because i wanted some very specific options. someone at that time (here on UT) refered me to the ITunes app (free) from apple.com. i looked into it and use it ever since. if this is for your own use - this is a GREAT !! program. it has lots of options and functionality. its very easy to catalouge, print, sort, filter, group, catagorize, etc etc etc!

i can only recomend it.
