VFP will not be able to detect a table coruption which later could cause some other problems. See INFO: Data Reliability Enhancements in Visual FoxPro 8.0 mskb #814131 and FIX: Header Corruption Causes END TRANSACTION to Discard Appended Records mskb #293638. I would recomend SET TABLEVALIDATE TO 7 which avoids the problem during USE.
