>I think you probably saw what I saw, which was the "MapBasic tech spec sheet", one of the links on the page given by Ryan Hirschey. It didn't look like there was actual documentation on that web site. If you were going to create a new MapBasic program that would be ready to use as an OLE server, I should think that the regular MapBasic documentation would suffice. But I guess that you are talking about running an existing MapBasic program. It may be that mapinfow.exe itself cannot be OLE automated. It may also be that the MapInfo .OCX control doesn't have a method for executing an existing MapBasic program. Those are the specific questions I would be asking the company. But you may be way ahead of me. All I know about MapInfo, apart from my recent glance at that web page, comes from a conversation with a MapInfo rep at a convention.

I've been asking questions here and at MapInfo. On the VFP side, I don't know how to use the DDE or OLE. On the MI side, I don't know how to run one of their programs with the DDE or OLE. I hoped someone had tried this before, but if they have, they're not telling me. :)

I'll be going to the company who's writing the MB program on Monday. Hopefully there's some info in their MB documentation.

Thanks,
