I do believe that we are to take the Bible literally and are to interpret it even in our "modern" times. However, you have not even provided evidence that God approved of polygamy. Your evidence simply allows that polygamy may occur and if it does what to do about it. Other verse say things like "If a man strikes another and he dies..." This does not show that God approves of murder - just as your verse does not show that God approves of polygamy.
Since you started this off by saying something about me proving my points, I'd like you to attempt to prove your assertion that God approves of polygamy (I think you asserted that - if not, my apologies.) If you are unable, I'll be happy to show you God's plan for marriage and provide scripture to back it up.
