>So you are saying that in the past conservatives have been wrong that they should change with the times? But the philosopy of conservatism is that things were better in the past

There is no question that in the past some conservative have been wrong. I really don't care about the philosophy of conservatism as I do about God's philosophy (which conservatives TEND to line up with a little more.) Are all converatives in total agreement with God's plan - absolutely not! But, as I said and in general the conservatives are closer than the liberals.

Murder is not allowed. Capitol punishment is. Murder is the taking of a life in anger or for personal gain. Taking of a life in self-defense, capitol punishment or war is acceptable.

>>The Bible is also clear that unborn children are just that - unborn children. As such, they are to be treated as human beings and are not to be killed as a matter of convenience. That makes it a moral issue.

Take a look at Luke 1. It mentions that when Elizabeth's baby (still in her womb) heard of Mary's greeting that the baby leaped in Elizabeth's womb. The same greek word for baby used in that verse (verse 41) is the same greek word used elsewhere to speak of a baby that has been born (Lk 2:12, Lk 2:16, Lk 18:15-16, 1 Pet 2:2)

You can also look at Psalm 139 - beginning with verse 13.

>>Again, the Bible is very specific about the sin of homosexuality - making it a moral issue.

Rom 1:18-32, 1 Cor 6:9-11

>>Marriage is defined in the Bible as a union between one man and one woman. Anything different than that is tearing apart the original design for the family - making it a family issue.

>According to that passage from Exodus, it appears to be at least 1 man and N women. Where does it state 1 man and 1 woman?

God's plan for marriage was always one man for one woman. He created Adam and Eve. Said the two should become one flesh (Gen 2:24) In the qualifications for church leaders, one is they must be a "one woman man" (1 Tim 3:2) This is something I really am not studied enough to provide a complete proof. If you are really serious about this, I can spend some time on that - just let me know.
