Maybe he should read Thomas Paine http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Paine and his "The Age of Reason" http://www.ushistory.org/paine/ a free book (there is no copyright from 1796 so it is legal to download). A wonderful book that all American, Rationalists, Deists et all should read once.
