First of all, I'm a Christian, and I too would like to see a Biblical standard.

But I'm also an American, and I beleive wholeheartedly in the constitution, which
guarantees not only religius freedom, but separation of church and state.

The Bible has no place in the classrooms. It belongs at home. It's a parents job
to teach their children morals and Biblical principles.

While the founding fathers may have had been influenced the Bible in their thinking,
they didn't leave England and migrate to the US because they wanted to be Christians.
They migrated because the wanted to freedom to choose. And they penned the constitution
without narrowing down what religion the people would follow, if any at all.

That freedom is extended to everyone in the US - Christian, Jews, Muslims, Hindus,
Atheists, and even Satanists.

You cannot try to force one form of religion on everyone and profess to be a free
nation.

>I guess all I'm saying is that I'd like to see us use the Bible as our standard instead of >man's ever changing mind. We need to have a solid foundation on which we make our laws. I >believe that used to be the Bible and I'd like to see us return to that.
Everything makes sense in someone's mind
