Oh Scotland! There's very little hope! Once had a burger that resembled a black scorpion in its death throes, curling up trying to sting itself to death. Having been asked specially by the waitress if I wanted onions on it, I lifted the top of the bun to discover only the single center ring of an onion, all black and caramelised. This was in a quiet inn where my friend and I were the ONLY customers, so it wasn't as if they'd taken their eye off the ball while rushed off their feet. I can only assume that this was considered normal!
