All,
I have run into a problem trying to execute reports against different databases. At run-time, I am changing the connection info to the database (it's a vertical market app and the databases can be different among clients) and am currently running into the following problem:
"CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.InvalidArgumentException: Buffer too small for string or missing null byte."
The error above is being generated when the I ApplyLogOnInfo on a table within the report. This always occurs on the first table.
Problem is, I cannot find WHY this is occurring. Furthermore, it does not always occurr: some databases work just fine. (I have validated the databases using SQL Compare and all are exactly the same save for their data)
After some preliminary testing, I have found that if the database name is shortened to something around 8-10 characters, then it will sometimes work. But not always.
Please, if anyone out there knows what is causing this problem and how to fix, PLEASE, let me know.
TIA,
Travis
