I'd call it the wildest "conspiracy theory" I've heard to date.

The basis of democracy is that "the people" are informed. Makes things considerably tougher, but that's the way it is.

I imagine that if someone in the Administration came out with this (after Iraq is firmly re-established in our own image) they'd be driven into seclusion, never to be seen again.

I agree that the neo-cons seem to have a firm grip on things, but they aren't sharing any of it with "the people". In fact they are lying to get their goals. And the Dominionists among them feel no remorse whatsoever.

The last President to be caught in a big lie was driven from office. Times sure have changed.
