No, I'm actually running for Sheriff.<g> Some of my relatives say this will be the first time a Harvey has run for Sheriff and not FROM the Sheriff. We're 10 months away, so it will heat up later this year. Otherwise, I'm now the midnight shift field commander in our Fugitive division. Spend most of my time helping the guys know where to go to arrest fugitives and I've also been concentrating on partnering with the various other police agencies to combat gangs. I had a juvenile gangster pull a pistol on me about two weeks ago, but I was quicker. We locked up 5 Crips and seized their two pistols and a car. All the juveniles have already been sentenced to a UTE facility until they are 18. I like the way the juvenile system works. The adult will probaby be out on bond for years before trial. Then when the trial date comes up, he'll probably be in Seattle! At any rate, I'm having a good time, just don't get much sleep.
