To confirm that VFP8 doesn't remove the TAG field in reports by default I created an empty project with a single report and a single .prg which opened the .frx and browsed it. I then ran my new .EXE and indeed the TAG field was untouched and my event code was fully intact.

Is there anywhere that could remove the TAG field at compilation yet leave the source untouched? Can the ProjectHook do this? Any ideas on the best place to start looking? My preliminary efforts using gofish to search for "replace tag" and "tag" have thus far turned up bopkes/bupkas .
