>This relates to the Debug Info checkbox in the right click->Project Info of the project. With Debug Info not checked the compiler wipes out the human readable code leaving only the compiled code. Turn on Debug Info and the human readable code in the TAG field of the .FRX is miraculously still there (Marat with FRX2Any actually suggested this fix)! The downside of including debug info is .EXE bloat and another downside would probably be easier decompilation.

Thanks for sharing this info. I didn't know that Debug Info affects reports DE code. I always have Debug Info checked so the line # is included in the error info in runtime.
