>>Lighten up Mike. BTW, to frequent somewhere is to go there regularly. As it happens I've visited Quebec twice: Montreal and Q City, and many hamlets in between. How often or how many times do I have to go to know what language I'm conversing in? How many road signs do I have to read, in French only, to know English is frowned upon? How come in every other province, everything is written in both languages to keep the Q's happy, but in Q it's only French?
Legal issues, unrelated to the real world. Most of my adult life has been spent speaking English to people who respond in English, and working for corporations that communicate in English and all the in Montreal of all places. Although I aggree with you that outside of Montreal the language situation is slightly different.
