>>>I think that is horrendous that people were burned, tortured and killed - because of their beliefs.
>>>
>>>However, I know that each one of them either rejected Christ or believed in Him. That choice - and that choice alone is what determines their eternal home. This is something I am 100% comfortable with.
>>>
>>>You realize, of course, that this is totally inconsistent.
>>>
>>>On the one hand, you state it's horrendous that people were killed because of their beliefs.
>>>Yet on the other hand, you express 100% comfort that these same people who were so brutally tortured will also burn in hell forever...because of their beliefs.
>>>

>>It's really very simple. In the first instance, somone else was the one determining their physical fate - that's bad. In the second instance, they are either enjoying or detesting the future they have chosen for themselves - that's good. What's wrong with that?

>Wait a second. How can the first instance be bad. Doesn't it bring glory to God as does everything that happens? I thought we'd been around that already.
Ah, so you're catching on...yes you're right. The first instance is ultimately good are things. I meant that it was an unpleasant thing that God uses for His glory.
