This message has been marked as a message which has helped to the initial question of the thread.
Without the use of a third-party piracy product such as Armadillo, the record locking is a fairly sound approach (sort of a record mutex/semaphore) and has been used in more than a few VFP applications.

>Are there any ways to detect if an application is being run multiple times from a Terminal Server/Citrix perspective? Especially if the application has been installed in multiple folders?

>The only solution I can think of is to have the app detect when its being run under Terminal Services update a shared table used to track simultanous users (lock a record for every instance of an app that's running).

>My question is motivated by a customer's concern that their application doesn't get placed in a Terminal Server environment and abused from a licensing use perspective.
